About Us
History
Canvas Products Company was established in 1929 as a manufacturer of various textile products. The factory was located in Detroit until 1956 when it expanded into a location in Oak Park, Michigan. The product mix was limited exclusively to boat covers in the early 50's which were produced for Thompson Boats Production. CPC operated under the original ownership until January 1987 at which time it was acquired by the current owners. In 1996, the company was moved back to the downtown Detroit area.
Canvas Products Company has been continuously expanding our area of expertise by including ATV, PWC, inflatable boats, pontoon, snowmobiles, motorcycles and jet boats covers.

We have been manufacturing covers IN THE USA since 1929 and, with our family of textile-related companies, are one of the largest non-apparel textile manufacturers in the country. We have over 80 years of experience in manufacturing and designing covers for a variety of different vehicles.
At CPC, we have taken the quality and workmanship of our heritage and combined it with the technology of today to produce the highest quality covers available.
